You have three different paths to take when it comes to learning for the CCNA or CCDA certifications. The first path is the exam path that covers all of the material from the previous CCNA exam. The second path is the core exam path that consists of all of the material from the CCDA and CCIE. The third path is the specialized training path that provides specialized training for new Cisco equipment or hardware.
When you take the exams, you will need to check in with the ITSP or Institute for Specialized Training. They will provide you with a course of study and training materials. In the second part of the course, you will study the topics, such as routing protocols, troubleshooting, security, routing procedures, and other new technologies. You will also learn about using the new Cisco tools that are included in Cisco exams. You will study the labs and complete tasks, such as documenting response time, average time for diagnostic tests, average response time for particular servers, and other types of diagnostics. The labs are set up so that the student can do any testing that they wish. During this time, you can purchase lab materials online, download them, and print them off.
At the end of the month of march, you will be ready to take the final exam, which will be a brand new enterprise core certification level. You have an idea of what kind of information you will need to gather before taking the test, so this is not a difficult exam. The exam includes three different sections, so you should have enough time to review the information needed for each section. If you purchase lab materials ahead of time, you will be prepared when the exam day arrives. You should be able to review your answers and formulate strategies for answering the questions.
Your study guide will come with sample testing questions from previous Cisco exams. It may also come with practice questions covering new topics. It should contain sample test questions covering all of the topics covered in the CCNA or other networking certifications.
