In order to be prepared for the CCNA Exam, you must have a clear understanding of the basics. This will allow you to know what the most important topics are for the exam. By knowing the basics, you will be able to avoid wasting time and effort studying for the exam. In this article, we will look at some of the most important concepts.
VLAN – Many people have heard of VLAN’s. VLAN’s are used to create local area networks (LAN’s) within a larger network. A local area network (LAN) can consist of one or more intranet sites that are connected to one central office. A smaller network is called a micro network or a Local Area Network (LAN). VLAN’s can be found in many places including Cisco Training and Certification products.
RSP – A routing process, RSP’s is used to send data between computers. In a small office network, the RSP would act as a router. The information sent by the router is sent to the central office and then to other offices in the company. RSP’s can be found in many Cisco training and certification products. If you have not taken a Cisco exam on the fundamentals of RSP’s, you should consider taking one.
CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is the most popular choice for learning how to be more efficient with your Ethernet devices. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCDA) is also the foundation course to learn about the Windows side of networking. Both RSP and CCNA are required for companies who want to be able to get a CCNA or even B CCSA. If you already have a Cisco certification, there are many resources available to show you how to implement the concepts from Cisco training and examen materials. If you do not want to take a full-length Cisco exam, you may consider taking a CCNA or RSP first.
YAG – The most recent CCNA Entry level exam developed by Cisco is the YAG. This is an exam designed to test the students’ Cisco knowledge in the area of security. Cisco has two official YAG levels, which are Yellow and Green. The focus of the YAG is to test the students’ ITIL knowledge, as well as their troubleshooting skills. Cisco has three official labs located in San Francisco, London and Tokyo, which offer free Cisco test preparation materials and support.
ESGC – The Cisco Certified Systems Engineers (CCSE) exam is the second most popular among the CPE candidates. The primary goal of this exam is to test the candidates’ knowledge about networking. Cisco has two laboratories located in Tokyo, London and San Francisco, which offer free Cisco test preparation materials and support. The exam includes one multiple-choice portion and one hands-on lab. The multiple-choice portion has two different labs and the hands-on lab allows the students to deploy laboratory equipment and simulate a networking scenario.
KATA DIA – The most important part of the CCNA test is the labs and the questions. The Cisco training kit for this section provides practice labs and real-world situations that will be seen by the test takers. The basic areas that will be tested are the switch topologies, VLAN’s and routing protocols. Cisco offers free resources for studying for the KATA exams, including videos, books and articles on the various topics.
